Macro of a fern frond

May 2, 2010

I’m doing a new “Photo of the Day” series with a few quirks. Here’s the background.

This is an image shot with one of my all time favourite lenses… and I’ve owned many over 50+ years of shooting. Beautiful out of focus backgrounds and incredably sharp, the Sigma 150mm Macro.

These ferns are so delicate at this early stage. This was shot when I was doing a large amount of macro work about 15 years ago. It’s still one of my favourite mediums.
