Travelling up the Mekong River, Luang Prabang, Laos

From the archive – 2007

I am heading to the archives for a few days due to a lack of time for photography as well as horrible weather. Time to take up studio shooting again.

Cherie and I spent an amazing week in Luang Prabang, Laos a few years ago and had the opportunity to travel up the Mekong River with a local to spend an evening at his village. We were treated like royalty and needless to say had a wonderful time.

The community was celebrating something having to do with the local wat so dance and Beer Lao was plentiful, I even got to teach the community how to disco. I don’t know anything about dance but it was a hit!

What beautiful people and a beautiful country.
