  1. I was lucky enough to find this print that originally supported the WCWC (dated 1989) at a vintage store in Vancouver! I grew up on Vancouver Island and have been part of old growth forest direct action, in particular around Fairy Creek, and took microbio and environmental studies at UVic. Finding this print was amazing, I now have it in my office in front of my computer, so as I work I can look up to the beautiful old growth trees and feel like a humble student of life.

Thank you for this beautiful photography, and for the print leading me to learn more about the history of Carmanah Valley and the work across the past few decades to protect the last remaining old growth forests of BC.

  2. Great find and thanks. I still have a copy of the poster somewhere as well. Unfortunately the Three Sisters are looking very different now. I visited about 5 years ago (2019?) after a crazy winter storm and the top of one of the trees had snapped off. I wish I had my camera with me but didn’t this time.
