June 13, 2003 – This photograph of a moon jellyfish is interesting as it was shot with my first digital DSLR camera, the Nikon D100. It was the first of the affordable? digital cameras that Nikon released at about $3,000 CDN for the body. Mind you, $3,000 was a lot of money in 2002 when it was released. The D100 featured a huge 6.1 MP sensor and pretty bad high ISO noise.
The lower image is the JPG straight from the camera while the upper photo has been processed in Photoshop and then sharpened and denoised in Topaz AI. We have come a long way!
