Decomposing Oak tree leaf macro

February 14, 2026 – I have my copy stand set up presently to scan negatives and slides from the ancient era of film photography. I know that folks are still shooting film but for me that era ended about 26 years ago. I do miss it!

While my 150mm Sigma macro lens is attached to the copy stand I decided to bring in some rotting nature from my yard and photograph it. Pretty cool! This is an oak tree leaf in it’s final stages of decomposition.
