Photo of the Day – 50 day update

I have been posting a photo of the day now for 50 days. As I described in this post, this photo of the day isn’t about heading out every day to shoot photographs but more to explore what I have already shot in my archive.

My cataloged photo archive has over 500,000 images photographed over a 25 year period. If I run the query below I can within a second or so view all of the images shot on June 26. Pretty cool!

I thought that perhaps I might query a particular day and get no results… a day in the past 25 years that I haven’t shot any photos. So far this hasn’t been the case with the lowest number of images being around 125. I’m not sure what the highest number has been but it’s somewhere around 3,000 images.

If I hit a slow zone I expect it would likely be in December as this is when the weather isn’t very nice where I live and it’s not a time of year I travel much. But there is the Christmas season. We will see!
