January 6, 2026 – Since I have a new lens to enjoy and learn about I’ll likely be posting photos from the Nikon 200-500 for the next few days as I explore what the lens is capable of. This is the type of image that I’m looking forward to shooting with this lens, closer details of the landscape with interesting atmospheric conditions. Yeah, this isn’t the best photo I’ve ever shot but it’s learning time. I’m impressed so far as this image was shot at 440mm f6.3 at 1/25 and is very sharp at 100%.
